That's a really Eurocentric approach, which hasn't worked because it fails to address the real problem - the problem isn't safer sex but a need for more money to help developmental costs and to improve the standard of live for the Average African...not to mention that relief work only goes so far as to lump the entire continent of Africa as one nation, and relief work almost always entails some religious missionary group.

He didn't make the claim that sending contraceptives to Africa would solve any crisis. He said that the condoms used to make those purposeless DRESSES could have been put to better uses. NOT, "cOndOms wIll sAvE AfrIcAns!!1" Like you apparently read.

There is nothing Eurocentric about being sensible and trying to do some good. It is much better than the American false idea that they donate more through USAID than anyone and run the politcal wing WB & IMF (out of Washington).

The fact is almost every country in Africa is suffering more from AIDS than the next worst country in the rest of the world. Perhaps only a handful of countries on the contient are not having real problems dealing with it. Also preventing the exploding population while simultaneously keeping your workforce healthy has got to be a good start to rebuilding Africa.

Also tv_online refers to the Average African. It is unlikely that a Condom Donator is going to be a religious fanatical missionary, seeing as so many religions seem to advocate celibacy as a solution to AIDS. Also orgs like Oxfam have no religious slant, so stop whinging and put your money where your mouth is.

However I suspect that this was factory surplus that wasn't going to go around anything. Probably a batch with a less than perfect quality check so they had to bin the whole lot and some bright artist decided to make something of them, albiet a LadyBoy Tranny. Well done !

I think that this is very creative. I am also doing a fashion show with clothing made out of condoms for an event that i am having for work i think that it is a fun way to get young people interested in knowing how they can prevent themselves for getting hiv/aids and many other std's and as for these designs they are great and very creative i love them and as for the people that think is pathetic they should come to my event and see how much of an effect it has on people

it's kinda weird. the first few pics i thought were neat... but then i got more and more disgusted as they went down. why would someone actually wear something like that? and those models are ugly. i have a feeling it was the recalled condoms or something, like the rejects from trojan brand. at about $1 a pop... and a couple hundred in 1 dress... plus labor... you're looking at like $1K when it's all said and done... who would buy that?
